  • Due diligence and risk management evaluation for the acquisition of a medium-sized French financial institution for European and international Investment Funds and Private Equity firms
  • Due diligence for the acquisition of one of the largest reinsurance companies in Germany on behalf of a leading Swiss bank

Insurance & Reinsurance

  • Insurance due diligence and risk consultancy evaluation as part of the efforts to acquire a number of renowned Lloyd’s syndicates and their management agencies in the UK for a leading bank and a leading insurer in Europe
  • Advice on designing, developing and testing the distribution of insurance products to be sold on an affinity scheme basis through one of the largest banks in France, leading to the subsequent creation of two insurance subsidiaries
  • Developed an NGO for the Catholic Church to distribute micro-insurance for a healthcare program in Latin American countries
  • Insurance due diligence and risk consultancy evaluation for the purpose of acquiring a medium-sized insurance company in the Netherlands for a Swiss bank
  • Reinsurance risk consultancy reviews for state owned insurance companies in Ecuador
  • Development of travel insurance products and operations for an insurance operator in Africa
  • Design of comprehensive motor insurance products to be sold in conjunction with a car loans program for leading banks in Europe and the Middle East

Renewable Energy

Solar and Photovoltaic Power

  • Development of a solar power project model designed to support rural electrification in sub-Saharan Africa through phased development, supported by multi-lateral funding
  • Development of the largest photovoltaic power plant in Italy inclusive of advice and consultancy on weather related exposures combined with traditional construction related risks

Geothermal Power

  • Development of an insurance backed risk mitigation product designed to stimulate early stage investment into geothermal power projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Mexico and the Philippines
  • Planning and launch of a 140MW geothermal power project in East Africa; provided due diligence support and represented client team in negotiations to secure the Power Purchase Agreement for the project

Wind Power

  • Provision of risk consultancy services and insurance due diligence for the development of the first offshore wind farm constructed in Italy

Waste to Energy

  • Creation of Public Private Partnership between our client and a large African nation to convert waste into energy
